What to do in Castellón Costa Azahar?

- Travel the unfrequented routes to the Tinença de Benifassà and admire the breathtaking scenery of the district.

- Stroll through the streets of the walled town of Morella. On the way to the castle, stop at the Basilica de Santa María to hear the church organ.

- In the Els Ports district, taste some authentic mountain cuisine: rabbit in snail sauce, lamb stew, Forcallana soup, dried and salted meats, dishes prepared with local truffles, marinated game. For dessert, curds, or homemade pastries such as the area's typical flaons.

- See the cave paintings in the Valltorta ravine (Tírig), the Remigia cave (Ares del Maestre) or in Morella la Vella, now listed as World Heritage.

- Taste some delicious prawns in Vinaròs or Benicarló after a refreshing swim in the sea.

- In Castellón de la Plana, you can enjoy plays and concerts,and exhibits at the Main Theatre, and the Contemporary Art Museum and Fine Arts Museum, which now position the city among leading cultural attractions.

- Play a game of golf or fly an ultralight aircraft in Castellón de la Plana, the capital of the province.

- Drive to Vilafamés and stroll through the streets of this picturesque painters’ town, where you can visit the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Wine Museum.

- Go for a boat ride on an underground stream in the Caves of Sant Josep, in Vall d’Uixó.

- Follow the ‘route of the mountain springs’ through Altura, Navajas and Viver; then have a rest at the spas of Villavieja or Montanejos, and enjoy a swim in their thermal springs.

- Spend a day canoeing at the Regajo or Arenoso reservoirs, where beautiful scenery provides an appropriate backdrop.

- Go on a complete tour of the Cathedral in Segorbe, and see the exhibits in the town museum as well.
